Dr. Pavan Kumar Agrawal
Associate Professor
Dr. Pavan Agrawal’s lab is supported by competitive national fellowships and research grants focused on understanding how genes and environment interact to influence brain function and behavior. Current projects investigate the molecular and behavioral mechanisms of social isolation stress, the epigenetic basis of neuropsychiatric disorders, and the developmental and transgenerational effects of nicotine exposure using Drosophila as a primary model. These studies aim to reveal conserved pathways that link environmental stressors and genetic vulnerabilities to brain dysfunction and disease.
